According to the statement issued by the State Committee on Captive, Missing and Hostage Citizens of Azerbaijan, it was reported that there was an exchange of captured military personnel between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

In the statement, it was stated that 32 Armenian soldiers were handed over to the country's administration in the Gazakh region on the border of the two countries, and Armenia also handed over 2 Azerbaijani soldiers.

It was also noted that the health of the captured Armenian soldiers on the Azerbaijani side was checked by the International Committee of the Red Cross, they were released after confirming that their condition was satisfactory, and that no untoward incident occurred during the handover.

In a joint statement issued by the administrations of Azerbaijan and Armenia on December 7, as a result of the meetings held between Baku and Yerevan, it was agreed to take important steps to strengthen the trust between the two countries.
