Egypt's National Electoral Council has announced that incumbent President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has been re-elected as president.

Chairman of the National Electoral Council, Hazim Bedevi, announced that incumbent President Sisi has been re-elected for a new term that will last until 2030.

Focusing on Sisi's 89.6 percent of the vote, Bedevi said 44.7 million voters voted in the presidential election, with a turnout of 66.8 percent.
