According to the Turkish Foreign Economic Relations Council (DEIK), Turkish organizations have implemented 1,864 projects worth $85.4 billion in Africa by the end of 2023. Turkish companies have invested more than 10 billion dollars in the continent and employ more than 100,000 Africans.

It is noted that Turkey, which has strengthened relations with African countries, shows itself as a fairer player than the former colonial countries.

Thanks to diplomatic efforts, Turkey-Africa trade has increased from $5.4 billion in 2003 to nearly $41 billion by the end of 2022. This indicator is expected to reach 50 billion dollars in 2023. Cooperation with the continent is focused on humanitarian aid , infrastructure and transport projects, as well as the growth of business and trade relations aimed at mutually beneficial economic cooperation.

In particular, the Polat Road Company won the tender for the construction of the 92 km long Muembe-Nakapiriripirit road, which connects Uganda with Kenya, South Sudan and Ethiopia.

In early 2023, the Ugandan government offered another Turkish company, Yapı Merkezi, to build a 273-kilometer section of the railway from the country's capital, Kampala, to the Malaba border crossing in Kenya. The cost of the project is expected to be 2.2 billion dollars. The contract for the construction of the railway was initially awarded to the Chinese company China Harbor Engineering Company, but after eight years of failure, Uganda chose a Turkish company.

In addition, the Tripoli Conference Center in Libya, the Kigali Conference Center in Rwanda, the Parliament Building in Cameroon, the Niamey Airport in Niger, as well as the modern sports complex "Dakar Arena" with 15,000 seats, the Dakar International Conference Center, the Blaise Diagne International Airport in Senegal and others were built.
