TVCOM, a paid satellite and Internet TV operator in Kazakhstan, has removed a number of Russian TV channels from its broadcast schedule, RIA Novosti reported, citing the operator.
"As part of reducing the number of channels on the information agenda, it was decided to remove the TV channels of the PKVS Kazakhstan family from the satellite TV and Internet TV broadcast networks. TV channels will be suspended," the report said.
It is noted that it is planned to gradually reduce the share of foreign news channels and replace them with entertainment, film and educational channels, including Kazakh TV channels.
