Ukraine sent 1,000 tons of wheat to Palestine as part of the ZernoFromUA humanitarian program. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine on the X platform.
" This shipment is the first of three shipments from Ukraine to Palestine under this initiative. This will help to support more than 101,000 Palestinian families for a month, - said the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. "We are providing life-saving assistance to innocent citizens who are at risk of food shortages and starvation . "
"The GrainFromUA initiative of President Volodymyr Zelensky, in cooperation with the World Food Program, has sent the first of three shipments to Palestine that will provide food aid to more than 100,000 families stuck in the center of the conflict between Israel and Hamas," the ministry's press release said.
The next humanitarian cargo from Ukraine to Gaza is planned to be delivered "in the coming months". With the support of Estonia, Norway, France and Iceland, Ukraine aims to deliver more than 7,000 tons of wheat flour to Gaza.
