In Germany, a woman took people hostage in a hospital

According to preliminary information, the woman applied to the hospital with the intention of committing suicide, but nothing is known about her purpose and demands.
According to Aachener Zeitung, the woman threatened hospital staff with a pistol, fled to a patient's room after a hospital employee managed to wrest the gun from her hand, then lit a pyrotechnic device and threw it on the corridor. According to the police, the area around the woman's location was evacuated.
A woman was shot and seriously injured during an operation conducted by a special police unit.
Smoke was reported as a result of the explosion. No information was provided about the victims. Patients and hospital staff were evacuated.
