Yevgeny Serebryakov, who is accused of blowing up a Russian Defense Ministry officer's car in Moscow, said during an interrogation in a video released by the Russian FSB on Friday that he decided to cooperate with Ukrainian special services last year, contacted them via the Internet and offered to kill a Defense Ministry officer.
"In February 2023, I actively contacted the administrator of the community in order to cooperate with the Ukrainian intelligence services, " Serebryakov said during the interrogation.
Later, he began to communicate with Ilya , who, according to his own assumptions, was an "employee of the Security Service of Ukraine ." "We talked with him, there was a meeting in Istanbul, I took the parts to assemble an improvised explosive device . And I offered to destroy the officer," said Serebryakov.
According to him, he "assembled the explosive device and placed it under the car under supervision and instructions."

After blowing up a car in Moscow, Serebryakov fled to Bodrum, Turkey, where he was captured and brought to Moscow on Friday night.
Serebryakov was charged in absentia with conspiracy to commit the murder of two or more persons by an organized group in a common dangerous manner and illegal trade in explosives.
For information, on the morning of July 24, a car explosion occurred in the yard of a house on Sinyavinskaya Street in Moscow, as a result of which two people lost their lives. The owner of the car was a colonel of the Russian Armed Forces.
