Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that Ankara will continue to protect the rights of the Turkish minority living in the Western Thrace region of Greece. According to him, Turkey is closely monitoring the actions of the Greek authorities regarding ethnic Turks in the country and is ready to intervene if necessary.
