Saudi Arabia has warned pilgrims that the average maximum temperature in Makkah during this year's Hajj season could reach 44 degrees Celsius, 1-2 degrees above normal. During last year's Hajj season, more than 2,000 pilgrims suffered from heat stroke.

From the month of Ramadan, a short-term golf car rental service has been launched on the roof of the Mecca Mosque for the convenience of the elderly and disabled pilgrims. Cars for 10 people can only be used for circumambulation.

It was reported that iftars in the cities of Makkah and Madinah will be held outside the mosques after the government of Saudi Arabia banned the celebration of iftar inside the mosques due to sanitary standards. Also, imams and muezzins were restricted from collecting material donations for organizing Iftar in Ramadan.
