Experts of the World Bank conduct a study on the decrease of the level of the Caspian Sea. During 18 months, they will gradually study the results of previous studies and regional climate models and prepare hydrological models.

Kazakhstan and Turkey reached an agreement on mutual cooperation in the field of security in the Caspian Sea. This cooperation envisages, among other things, the creation of a "professional emergency rescue service" capable of quick action in the event of oil spills, shipwrecks and fires, as well as the provision of modern technologies necessary for various operations at sea and on land.
