The Academic Council of the Free University of Brussels has decided to stop all contracts and projects with Israeli universities following the student protests that have been ongoing since May 7. Relations can be restored if Israel follows the decisions of the International Court of Justice to immediately stop the attacks on Rafah and not to block the entry of humanitarian aid.

Dries Van Langenhove, a far-right former member of the Belgian parliament, was jailed for a year for "inciting hatred and racism" against Jews. He was found guilty of posting videos and photos of the Nazi symbol (swastika) and mocking Jews in concentration camps to a youth movement message group he founded.

Belgium has temporarily suspended the licenses granted to the PB Clermont factory, which exports gunpowder to Israel. The reason for this was the decision of the International Court of Justice on January 27 and the unacceptable deterioration of the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.
