THE FUTURE OF THE NATION DEPENDS ON EDUCATION!

The development, stability, and happiness of any society depend primarily on the human heart and soul. The fate of a nation begins with proper upbringing and spiritual foundations. This sacred task falls primarily on the state and society. If the state and society are indifferent to the minds, hearts, morals, and souls of their children, the situation will worsen year by year and head towards destruction.

In recent years, the number of cases of mental emptiness, hopelessness, suicide, and spiritual crisis among young people has been increasing sharply worldwide. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), more than 700,000 people commit suicide every year. This means one person every 40 seconds. Suicide is the second leading cause of death among 15-29 year olds. (WHO, Suicide worldwide in 2019: global health estimates).

Scientific studies show that more than 70% of such serious cases are due to improper upbringing in childhood and a lack of love and attention in the family (WHO, Mental health data; APA, "Understanding Suicide," 2020).

When a person is in a serious mental crisis, his relatives, teachers, and friends can temporarily save him. But how many people can we save? For how long? This is a temporary measure, not a solution to the problem. To eliminate the social problem, it is necessary to establish systematic and continuous spiritual and moral education in society.

In today's information age, a royal, easy, and artificial style of happiness is actively promoted to young people through social networks, TV series, and entertainment programs. Many young people are deluded into believing that they can instantly achieve wealth, prestige, success, and happiness in life. Seeing examples of wealth and a prosperous life that they do not have, they become dissatisfied with their situation and become spiritually broken. This leads not only to despair, but also to indifference to life, spiritual disintegration, and even suicide.

As noted by world psychologists and educators, mental health problems and suicide rates are much higher among young people who spend a lot of time on social networks (UNICEF, Child Well-being in Uzbekistan, 2023; WHO, Mental health data). To prevent this, society and the state must also pay attention to protecting the minds of young people in their information policies.

What is the solution to the problem?

In any case, the main solution is to return to education and spirituality. For the future of the nation, it is necessary to form the right moral, spiritual and intellectual foundations in our society from childhood. One person, even a selfless teacher or parent, cannot do this alone. Only at the state level, with the support of the entire society, can the most difficult problems be overcome by creating a systematic and sustainable educational environment.

That is why:

1. Increased attention to spiritual and moral education in school and family;

2. Providing educational content and a spiritual example in the media and social networks;

3. State and public organizations should establish programs and centers aimed at supporting youth and protecting their mental health.

Education is the foundation of the future of a nation. A person who has received the right foundation from childhood will be able to stand firm in the face of any test of life and overcome difficulties. In a society without moral and spiritual strength, knowledge, wealth, and material well-being also lose their value.

In conclusion, we can say the following: Today, each of us - parents, teachers, statesmen, youth and society as a whole - is responsible for education. If we do not give up on one thing and put education first for the happiness and future of the nation, it is difficult to prevent spiritual disintegration and spiritual crisis. True happiness and development are ensured precisely through proper education and spirituality. Only in this way can the nation be preserved and its future be illuminated.
