Reflection: Have the Zionists surpassed the Nazis?
I read on X (former Twitter) (I don't remember who wrote it) that "Israelis are more responsible for the terrible massacre in Gaza than the Germans, who were responsible for the Holocaust." The author of these words gave 5 reasons, but I remember 3:
First, at that time, ordinary Germans, even their soldiers, had very little information. Even when the systematic extermination of Jews began (in 41, in 40 only the disabled and seriously ill were killed), the group of people who knew for sure about it was very limited. Ordinary Germans knew only from state propaganda, where nothing was said about it (some risked their lives to listen to Allied radio broadcasts, but these radio stations also did not know about the Holocaust and did not talk about it). Even if some had doubts, they had a certain opportunity to deny it. Israelis, on the other hand, have free access to any information, including information in Hebrew (Haaretz) and English (dozens of reputable publications and social networks around the world, as well as artificial intelligence translators). It is impossible not to see this.
Second, the Germans had no experience of the Holocaust. The Germans did not learn about the Holocaust in school, did not pass a bagrut (a certificate awarded in Israeli high schools for successfully passing an exam) on the subject, did not celebrate the annual Day of Remembrance for its victims, did not observe a minute of silence in memory, did not know about the Stanford experiment and how propaganda works. We should know this (I think that those who were not born in Israel do not understand the importance of the Holocaust in the Israeli worldview).
Third, Germans who oppose the regime are putting themselves and their loved ones at risk. Israelis who oppose what is happening in Gaza (which they dare not call a "war") face almost no risk.
