Which country attracts the most tourists to Uzbekistan?

In January-May 2025, 4.2 million foreign citizens visited Uzbekistan for tourism. This figure is 1.4 million (48.2 percent) more than in the same period in 2024. This was reported by the Statistics Committee.

It is noted that the largest number of tourists visited the country from Kyrgyzstan - 1,280.1 thousand people - 1.3 million people. The next places were occupied by representatives of Tajikistan (993.7 thousand people) and Kazakhstan (889.6 thousand people). The number of tourists from other countries is as follows:

Russia – 334.3 thousand people;

Afghanistan - 199.2 thousand people;

Turkmenistan – 142.5 thousand people;

Turkey – 65.8 thousand people;

China – 51.9 thousand people;

India – 28.5 thousand people;

Italy – 17.4 thousand people;

Other countries - 201.1 thousand people.

For information, 2.6 million tourists visited Uzbekistan in January-May 2023. The largest number of them were citizens of Tajikistan (797.8 thousand).
