"Week Against Forced Labor" begins in Uzbekistan

Starting from August 15, a "Week of Combating Forced Labor" has been declared in schools and preschool educational institutions across the republic. The Labor Inspectorate will conduct inspection activities in all educational institutions.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Employment, there have been an increasing number of reports in recent days about cases of teachers and coaches being forced into forced labor.

About 10 cases of forced labor of teachers and trainers were confirmed, and administrative measures were taken against the guilty officials. A request was made to the relevant ministries and departments to investigate the causes of the violations and eliminate the conditions that allowed them to occur.

It is emphasized that liability measures will be taken against employers and all responsible officials who allow forced labor within the framework of the week.
