We will not accept advice that does not correspond to our traditions - Abdulaziz Kamilov

Presidential Advisor on Foreign Policy Abdulaziz Kamilov
He said that "Uzbekistan is always open to European human rights organizations."

In an appearance on the Davra podcast, Kamilov said that human rights and democracy issues have always been on the agenda in dialogues with Western countries, and this trend cannot be stopped. He noted that the United States is now raising these topics less and less.

In addition, the presidential advisor added that the European human rights recommendations should also be consistent with our national values.

"Please, let him come, let him see, let him give us advice. If it suits us, we will work together. But if it doesn't fit our mentality or traditions, we won't accept it," he said.

Kamilov also noted that the views of Tashkent and Washington on many regional and global issues are converging, noting that the worldviews of US President Donald Trump and the leadership of Uzbekistan are becoming more compatible.
