Uzbekistan will officially become a BRICS partner country in 2025



From January 1, 2025, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan will officially receive the status of partners with the BRICS organization. This will allow these countries to participate in BRICS events and various activities of the organization as partner states.

Uzbekistan will officially receive the status of a partner with the BRICS organization from January 1, 2025. According to Yuri Ushakov, an assistant to the Russian president, 35 countries expressed their desire to participate in BRICS activities during the summit in Kazan. An agreement was also reached to grant partner status to 13 countries.

As Yuri Ushakov noted, Belarus, Bolivia, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Cuba, Malaysia, Thailand, Uganda, and Uzbekistan have expressed their readiness to accept the status of BRICS partner states.

Starting in 2025, Uzbekistan will have the opportunity to participate in BRICS events and various activities of the organization as a partner country.
