Uzbekistan increases duties on trucks from Turkmenistan, cancels them for Iran
New tariffs for foreign truckers will be implemented in Uzbekistan from 2025. While fees for Turkmen trucks have been increased, fees for Iranian vehicles have been canceled.
The Law on the State Budget of Uzbekistan revised the rates of fees applied to foreign carriers starting in 2025. These changes apply to vehicles entering the country and moving in transit.
Starting January 1, 2025, fees for trucks registered in Turkmenistan have been significantly increased:
$130 for carriers up to 10 tons (previously $50);
$180 for cargo weighing 10-20 tons (previously $100);
$250 for loads over 20 tons (previously $150).
In addition, the fee for transporting goods from third countries and for exporting goods from the territory of Uzbekistan has been increased to $375.
New differentiated tariffs have been introduced for carriers from the European Union and Azerbaijan:
For access up to 14 days — $80;
For stays longer than 14 days - $280.
Tolls for trucks registered in Iran have been abolished. The rate for them has been set at "0" dollars.
The fees for the remaining countries remained unchanged.
Tajikistan - $100-150-200 depending on tonnage;
Kazakhstan - $300;
Kyrgyzstan - $300;
Afghanistan - $50;
Other countries - $400.
Starting in 2025, it is planned to equalize fees for national carriers and introduce an electronic E-Permit system between countries.
