Uzbekistan conducts analysis of armed conflicts to improve army readiness
In order to increase combat readiness in 2024, the National Army of Uzbekistan is conducting an analysis of armed conflicts taking place in various regions of the world, the press service of the Ministry of Defense reports.
At a meeting of the Senate Committee on Defense and Security on December 24, the Minister of Defense announced that analyses of modern armed conflicts and the positive experience of advanced foreign armies were used to increase the combat readiness of the national army.
In 2024, combat readiness measures were increased by 1.5 times compared to the previous year. The professional training of the command staff has significantly improved.
Also, joint military exercises were held with the United States, India, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan over the past year. The exercises focused on drone control, countermeasures, and new tactical maneuvers. In addition, Uzbekistan trained military personnel from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Turkmenistan in combat specialties on its territory in 2024.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Justice have jointly created an electronic database of information on those subject to military service and conscripts. This initiative is helping to reduce bureaucratic obstacles and simplify the processes of military registration and deregistration.
According to the Ministry of Defense, these measures play an important role in preparing the national army for modern armed conflicts.
