Uzbekistan and Russia sign strategic partnership plan in the military sphere

Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov and Uzbek Defense Minister Major General Shukhrat Kholmukhamedov signed a plan for the implementation of a strategic partnership program between the countries in the military sphere for 2026-2030 during a meeting in Moscow, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

It is noted that today, May 10, Belousov and Kholmukhamedov held a bilateral meeting.

During the meeting, Belousov said that Russia would never forget how much the Uzbek SSR paid for the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. He added that the participation of the Uzbek military in the parade on Red Square was based on the same logic.

In turn, Shukhrat Kholmukhamedov expressed gratitude to his Russian counterpart for the conditions created for the preparation of the Uzbek military contingent that participated in the military parade in Moscow.
