Uzbekistan allocated 15,000 quotas for Hajj 2025

The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced that the hajj quota for Uzbekistan has been set at 15. A few years ago, the head of the same ministry, during a meeting with the President of Uzbekistan, said that the quota allocated to the country was 24,000.

Saudi Arabia has allocated 15,000 quotas to Uzbekistan for the Hajj 2025 pilgrimage. This was announced yesterday, February 18, at a press conference held by the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Uzbekistan with the participation of the leadership of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and the Ministry of Information.

"This year, the quota allocated to Uzbekistan for the Hajj pilgrimage is 15,000. However, the quotas for Umrah are free, and any number of pilgrims can travel from Uzbekistan under certain conditions," said Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabi'ah, Minister of Hajj and Umrah of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

A few years ago, the head of the same ministry, during a meeting with the President of Uzbekistan, said that the quota allocated to the country was 24,000.

"We will discuss this issue with the relevant organizations of the Uzbek side before determining this amount. According to the latest agreement, this is exactly the quota that has been set," said the Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah.

But this amount is small for Uzbekistan, with a population of 36 million. After all, neighboring Kyrgyzstan, with a population of 7.5 million, has been allocated 6,060 quotas.
