Uzbekistan Airways makes changes to flights due to situation in Pakistan and India

Uzbekistan Airways has warned that due to air traffic restrictions at the Pakistan-India border, there will be forced changes to the flight schedule on routes between Tashkent and Delhi, Mumbai, Lahore, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, and Phuket. In some cases, flight times may increase by an average of 1.5 hours or more.

Uzbekistan Airways will make a number of mandatory changes to its flight schedule due to temporary restrictions on the use of airspace near the border of Pakistan and India, the airline's press service reported.

These changes apply to Tashkent - Delhi, Mumbai, Lahore, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Phuket and return routes connected to these cities. In particular, in some cases, flight times may increase by an average of 1.5 hours or more.

The company said that if a flight is canceled, passengers will be offered the option of rebooking for a later date or receiving a full refund. In both cases, there will be no penalties.

Also, additional information on flights from Tashkent to Delhi, Mumbai, and Lahore will be provided after the flight schedule is fully updated.

"We understand how important it is for our passengers to have a clear schedule and reliable travel, and we are doing everything we can to ensure stable flights, regardless of external factors," Uzbekistan Airways said in a statement.

The company noted that under the current circumstances, flights continue to operate on time, but that additional route changes, schedule adjustments, and other adjustments are likely due to safety concerns.

Passengers planning to travel to these destinations are advised to check the current schedule in advance and, if possible, plan their trip with extra time, especially for connecting flights or business meetings. They are urged to stay informed via the company's official website and social media.

"The safety of passengers, crews and aircraft is our absolute priority. Even in the face of changing global circumstances, we are responding quickly to all calls, adhering to international aviation standards, and striving to create the most reliable conditions for your travels," the message says.
