For the first time in the history of Uzbekistan, imams received a high state award. By the decree of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, three imams were awarded with the "Imam Bukhari" order.

The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the decree "On awarding a group of employees of science, education, healthcare, literature, culture, art and mass media on the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of Uzbekistan's independence".

For the first time in the history of Uzbekistan, religious workers are among the recipients. According to the decree, three imams were awarded the "Imam Bukhari" order "for their great contribution to ensuring the development of our country, strengthening peace and harmony in society, social stability, raising the young generation healthy and perfect in the spirit of noble ideas, as well as for their activity in public affairs."

• Naimov Alisher Abdurashidovich - deputy chief imam-hatib of Fergana region, chief imam-hatib of Kuvasoi city

• Usmanov Rakhmatillo Akhmatovich - chief imam of Kashkadarya region, representative of the Office of Muslims of Uzbekistan in Kashkadarya region

• Elov Jobir Rustamovich - chief imam of Bukhara region, representative of Bukhara region of the Office of Muslims of Uzbekistan .

We remind you that by the decree of the President of Uzbekistan on June 27, 2023, the late Sheikh Muhammad Sadiq Muhammad Yusuf was awarded the Order of "High-ranking Imam Bukhari". In August 2022, Shavkat Mirziyoyev awarded the King of Saudi Arabia, Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and in November, the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, with the Order of "High-ranking Imam Bukhari".
