Ustad Mubashshir Ahmad's trial postponed again

Today, September 8, at 4:00 PM, the trial of Ustoz Mubashshir Ahmad continued at the Uchtepa District Criminal Court of Tashkent.

A number of members of the public, journalists, and Ustoz's close relatives gathered outside the courthouse to attend the trial. Once again, those entering the court were asked to hand over their recording and video equipment and cell phones.

On August 19, the trial was postponed to September 8 due to the absence of witnesses. However, the witnesses who attended the second hearing also failed to provide sufficient evidence for the charges. According to preliminary information, this is why the charge of "inciting interethnic conflict" against Ustaz Mubashshir Ahmad was removed from the charges. In turn, the lawsuit of one of the witnesses was also dismissed.

Unfortunately, the court hearing was postponed again and will continue on September 15. The reason given for this was that there was not enough time to question the Teacher.

We would like to remind you that a criminal case was initiated against Ustaz Mubashshir Ahmad under Article 244, Part 3 of the Criminal Code, and later an additional charge was announced under Part 1, Subparagraph "g" of the same article. Some time later, Part 2 of Article 156 was also added to the case.
