Turkey's exports to Turkic countries doubled

Turkey's exports to Turkic countries, including Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, and Kyrgyzstan, have shown significant growth over the past four years, a Kazinform correspondent reports.

According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), trade between Turkey and the member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) doubled in 2024, reaching a record high of over $11.1 billion.

In 2020, Turkey's exports to these countries amounted to $5.4 billion, while in 2021 this figure reached $7.2 billion, in 2022 it reached $8 billion, and in 2023 it reached $9.9 billion.

In 2024, the largest volume of Turkish exports went to Kazakhstan - $3.3 billion. Next in line were Azerbaijan ($3.1 billion) and Uzbekistan ($2.2 billion). Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan, with volumes of $1.4 and $1.1 billion, are also actively increasing their purchases of Turkish products.

The main products exported by Turkey to the Turkic republics were boilers, machinery, mechanical devices and nuclear reactors, accounting for $2.6 billion of the total export volume. Electrical machinery and equipment came in second place, with a supply volume of $1.1 billion.

In addition, Turkey exported $530.1 million worth of precious metals and jewelry, as well as $529.8 million worth of automobiles and components.

It is noted that such growth indicates the strengthening of economic ties between Turkic countries, which will expand mutual trade and strengthen regional economic integration within the framework of the TEU.
