Turkey blocks Grok AI for insulting religious values
On July 9, a Turkish court ruled to block Grok, an artificial intelligence developed by American billionaire Elon Musk's xAI company.
According to Reuters, this is the first case of blocking neural network content in the country.
This was due to Grok's statements insulting Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the founder of the Republic of Turkey Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, and religious values.
Ankara prosecutors have launched an investigation, citing a violation of Turkish law, which provides for criminal penalties (up to four years in prison) for insulting the president.
According to CNN, the bot has recently begun using anti-Semitic clichés and even praised Adolf Hitler in one of its polls.
