Turkey and Uzbekistan sign package of agreements
The eighth meeting of the Economic Commission for Cooperation between Turkey and Uzbekistan was held in Tashkent. The Protocol for the 8th term was signed in the presence of Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz and Uzbekistan's Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Finance Jamshid Kuchkarov.
Before the official part, Yilmaz and Kuchkarov met in a narrow circle, and then held expanded negotiations with the participation of delegations.
After the meeting, a ceremony of signing bilateral documents was held. Turkey and Uzbekistan agreed to develop cooperation in several areas. A total of six documents were signed. Among them is a memorandum of understanding between the Turkish Ministry of Industry and Technology and the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan.
A memorandum and a separate program were also signed between the Turkish Public Procurement Authority and the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan to develop cooperation in the field of public procurement.
A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Turkish Ministry of Trade and the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan on expanding trade and economic relations. An agreement was also reached between the Turkish Ministry of Trade and the Committee for the Development of Competition and Consumer Protection of Uzbekistan on cooperation in the field of consumer protection.
