On June 24, a shooting occurred in Shuvalan village of Khazar district of Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, during an attempt to capture the wanted Rovshan Allahverdiev, who has been convicted several times.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan, Allahverdiev killed three policemen and one citizen in armed resistance.
According to the report, he tried to hide behind his family members and opened fire on the police with a Lancaster.
"The shooter died as a result of the police response," the statement said. A criminal case has been initiated in connection with this situation and investigation is underway.
