Attempts by some forces to artificially intensify the situation surrounding labor migrants coming to Russia, including from Tajikistan, were to be suppressed together and could not damage the time-tested brotherly relations between peoples.


Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with his Tajik counterpart Emomali Rahmon on Friday, the Kremlin press service reports.

During the conversation, views were exchanged on bilateral topical issues, including the fight against the threat of terrorism, cooperation in the field of migration. In this regard, it was agreed to improve the mechanisms of mutual cooperation of relevant ministries and agencies.

It was also said that the attempts of some forces to artificially intensify the situation around labor migrants coming to Russia, including from Tajikistan, will be jointly suppressed and cannot damage the time-tested brotherly relations between peoples.

Imamali Rahmon was invited to a solemn event dedicated to the Victory Day in Moscow, and issues of joint participation were discussed.
