President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev made a speech at the summit of the Organization of Turkic States (TDT) in Bishkek. During his speech, the head of state emphasized that global geopolitical processes have become more and more complex, the atmosphere of competition and mistrust among leading countries has increased sharply, the hotbeds of conflict and war are increasing, and various dangers are increasing.
"Certainly, our countries feel the negative effects and consequences of these in every way. These problems are a serious obstacle to our joint plan and big projects in trade, investment, transport, energy, agriculture and other fields," he said.
Therefore, he emphasized that it is appropriate to systematically continue dialogues on political and security issues within the framework of the organization, to actively advance a unanimous and clear position on international problems based on common interests.
"Here we are talking, first of all, about the ongoing unjust war in the Middle East and the observed double standards. Nothing can justify the unprecedented humanitarian tragedy in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon, the devastating attacks against civilians, especially innocent children, the elderly and women. We also strongly condemn the actions aimed at restricting the activities of the United Nations Special Assistance Agency for Palestine Refugees ."
He reiterated that the only solution to this long-standing conflict is the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, based on the borders of 1967, in accordance with international regulations and resolutions.
"We hope that a clear political solution to this problem will be found at the Arab-Muslim summit in Riyadh next week," he said.
At the same time, the President of Uzbekistan mentioned that the issue of Afghanistan should always be in the center of our attention within the framework of our Organization, and that it is important to establish a regular communication mechanism at the level of ministers and experts in this regard.
"We believe that the issues of providing assistance to the current government in solving acute problems in Afghanistan, wide involvement of this country in regional economic processes, implementation of social and infrastructure projects should be considered," he said.
At the summit, Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that the adoption of the Turkic world charter is a bright expression of the growing multifaceted cooperation between sister countries and peoples. "I am sure that on this basis we will be able to consolidate the Turkic world, increase its status, deepen our mutually beneficial and friendly relations, and raise our cooperation to a new level."
The leader of Uzbekistan put forward a number of initiatives aimed at further development of TDT activities.
Including:
Expanding and strengthening the main contractual legal base of the organization;
Acceptance of the agreement on strategic partnership, eternal friendship and brotherhood of the Turkish states;
Creation of a space of new economic opportunities within the organization. First of all, elimination of tariff and notary barriers, simplification of trade and customs procedures, development of e-commerce platforms;
