The President of South Korea will visit Uzbekistan

President of the Republic of Korea Yun Seok-yol will pay a state visit to Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan on June 10-15. First Deputy National Security Adviser Kim Tae-hye said Yun will begin a six-day trip on Monday accompanied by First Lady Kim Keon-hee, visiting three Central Asian countries until June 15.

South Korean President Yoon Suk-yol will pay a state visit to Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan next week. This was announced by the office of the South Korean leader today, Friday.

According to First Deputy National Security Adviser Kim Tae-hye, Yun will begin a six-day trip accompanied by First Lady Kim Keon-hee on Monday and visit three Central Asian countries until June 15, South Korea's Yonhap news agency reported.

"Central Asia, the center of the ancient Silk Road, is a strategic point connecting Europe and Asia," Kim said at a press conference. "As the global crisis expands due to factors such as the war in Ukraine and the conflict in the Middle East, the strategic importance of the region is increasing."

At the invitation of President Kasim-Jomart Tokaev, the President of the Republic of Korea Yoon Seok-yol will pay a state visit to Kazakhstan on June 11-13. This was reported by the Akor press service.

According to the press service, the heads of state will hold talks and participate in the Kazakhstan-Korea business forum. As part of the visit, a number of bilateral documents will be signed.
