Israeli President Isaac Herzog responded to the International Criminal Court (ICC) chief prosecutor Karim Khan's statement that an arrest warrant had been issued for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant. Herzog said the issuance of arrest warrants against Netanyahu and Gallant was a "one-sided political move."


In a statement posted on social media, Herzog said ICC Prosecutor General Karim Khan's statement "crossed the line" and that "the international judicial system is in danger of collapsing."

The chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, Karim Khan, announced that an "arrest warrant" request had been sent for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.

According to a written statement by the IJS, Khan requested an "arrest warrant" against Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, as well as Hamas Political Bureau Chairman Ismail Haniya, Hamas Gaza leader and head of the military wing Yahya Sinwar.
