The organization of Turkic states has started work on creating a common anthem
After the successful implementation of the joint alphabet project among the member states of the Organization of Turkic States, work began on the joint anthem and common artistic dictionary projects. Turkish states intend to create an artistic dictionary containing words used in art, as well as prepare a common anthem that strengthens national and spiritual values.
It is noted that every country in the Turkic world has its own national anthem. But the general anthem is inspired by the history of the Turkic peoples and is a unique composition expressed in words and melody.
Chairman of the Association of Turkish People's Art Universities, Rector of Ankara University of Music and Fine Arts, Professor Erhan Ozden told Yeni Şafak that the anthem will be created in a short period of time. The selection of a composer to create an anthem is made based on the collegial decision of the commission.
"The text of the anthem is based on vocabulary work and contains words that are understandable and meaningful to all, covering all areas of the arts," he said.
According to him, in addition to the hymn, an encyclopedic work will be prepared in the direction of art similar to Ibn Sina's works in the field of medicine.
"This is a dictionary created for the purpose of creating a common literary language in all fields of art. The work of the commission formed by the Association of Art Universities of Turkish States will be long-term," he added.
Professor Dr. Ozden says that work on the dictionary will take several years.
