The first halal restaurant opened in Omsk
The first halal restaurant, Tasu, has opened in Omsk, Russia, RBC reported. The restaurant was opened by Radik Minikhanov, a former deputy of the Bolsherech district, an entrepreneur and director of the Tatarstan-Omsk Center for the Development of Business and Cultural Relations.
This halal restaurant is notable for its location in the city center. It operates in a family format: the restaurant does not serve alcohol.
"Muslims have the concepts of "halal" and "haram." That's why we created an alcohol-free family atmosphere in the restaurant. The menu includes dishes typical of the cuisines of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Chechnya, and Tatarstan," said Minikhanov.
If the restaurant becomes popular, the entrepreneur plans to create a chain of similar catering establishments in the future. It is reported that about 12 million rubles have been invested in the project.
