On May 20, 2024, the first train from Azerbaijan with 20 containers and 632 tons of plastic raw materials arrived at Kars station, and cargo transportation was resumed.
The aim is to increase the number of container trains between Turkey and China to 200 per year in the medium term, and to 1,500 in the long term, reducing the transit time from 12 days to 10 days.
