Tolls and fees charged to Uzbek drivers in Afghanistan have been reduced by a total of approximately $99. In this case, a toll was set for the entry of a truck into the territory of Afghanistan and crossing the Amudarya bridge.


As a result of negotiations with Afghanistan, Uzbekistan has agreed to reduce the amount of fees and charges collected from Uzbek drivers in the country. This is reported by Gazeta.uz with reference to the Ministry of Transport.

According to him, the fee for entering the territory of Afghanistan for a truck registered in Uzbekistan was reduced to 3,000 Afghanis (about $53) from September 28. Before that, it was 5,000 Afghanis ($76).

Also, the toll for crossing the Amudarya bridge, which used to be 12,000 Afghanis (about $182), has now been set at 7,000 Afghanis (about $106).

Fees collected from Uzbek drivers in the territory of the country have been reduced by a total of 6.5 thousand Afghani (about 99 dollars).

Today, the Ministry of Transport is continuing work on creating favorable conditions for cargo transportation through the Trans-Afghan multimodal transport corridor, optimizing the amount of levies, the report says.
