In October 2024, the 1200th anniversary of Imam Abu Isa Muhammad Termizi will be widely celebrated in Uzbekistan. In particular, it is planned to hold an international scientific conference and convention, exhibitions, competitions. Also, a multi-volume translation and commentary of Imam Tirmizi's works "Ash-Shamail al-Muhammadiyya" and "Sunani Tirmizi" will be prepared and published. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the decision.
In October 2024, the 1200th anniversary of Imam Abu Isa Muhammad Termizi will be widely celebrated in Uzbekistan. This is mentioned in the decision of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, signed on August 15, "On the wide celebration of the 1200th anniversary of the birth of Imam Termizi".
According to the document, a multi-volume academic translation and commentary of Imam Tirmizi's works "Ash-Shamail al-Muhammadiyya" and "Sunani Tirmizi" based on the Moturid belief and the Hanafi school of thought will be prepared and published.
An international scientific-practical conference on the topic "Islam - the religion of peace and goodness" will be held in Tashkent and an international scientific-practical conference on the topic "The role of Imam Termizi's scientific heritage in Islamic civilization" will be held in the city of Termiz within the framework of the conference.
The infrastructure of the road leading to the shrine of Imam Termizi will be improved, including the memorial complex and the surrounding areas.
Organizing an exhibition of rare manuscripts and published copies and books of works dedicated to the life, scientific and creative activities of Imam Termizi and Termizi scholars in the complex of Imam Abu Isa al-Tirmizi in Sherabad district of Surkhandarya region.
Also, it was recommended to the office of Muslims of Uzbekistan to hold a contest "Knower of hadiths based on the works of Imam Termizi" among imams and students of religious educational institutions and reward the winners.
The Center of Islamic Civilization and the International Research Center of Imam Tirmizi, together with the Cultural Heritage Agency, identify the unique manuscripts and other cultural treasures of the life and scientific heritage of Imam Tirmizi, preserved in foreign countries, and bring their copies to Uzbekistan.
