Street names and advertising signs not written in the state language are being removed in Bishkek, 24.kg reported.
According to the information, advertisements and street names must be made in white, with blue lettering and signs, according to the approved design in the country.
The city administration said in a statement that recently, individuals and homeowners have been observed installing signs arbitrarily, violating state language rules, and failing to comply with the approved design code. District administrations and neighborhood citizens' assemblies are conducting studies and raids in this regard.
The government urged residents to comply with legal requirements, reminding them that, according to the Law on the State Language, street names must be written only in Kyrgyz.
