Schoolgirls wearing hijab in Andijan were included in the "red category".
Head of Khojaabad district IIB Rustam Jaloliddinov held a "conversation" with 18 students of schools located in his sector, contrary to national and international laws. Among them there are girls wearing hijab.
On November 28, the head of the IIB of the Khojaabad district of the Andijan region, lieutenant colonel Rustam Jaloldinov met with some students of the schools in the 3rd sector. According to Kun.uz, the press service of the district administration wrote that the meeting was with "red category" students.
"A conversation was organized with 18 red-category students from schools located in the 3rd sector of Khojaabad district by the head of the district IIB Rustam Jaloldinov and the head of the People's Reception D. Komiljonov on the interests of the students in the future," said the message of the mayor's office.
According to the authorities, during the meeting, students were interviewed one by one "about their plans for independent life after school" and necessary recommendations were given.
In the photos attached to the message, you can see schoolgirls (9 of them) wearing headscarves and some boys. It seems that several officials took part in the "conversation".
In its report, the district administration gave a negative image to the minors by noting that they are in the "red group", leaving their faces uncovered in the photos.
It was not explained by what characteristics the children were included in the "red group".
For information, according to Article 4 of the Law "On Guarantees of Children's Rights", discrimination of children is not allowed in Uzbekistan, their honor and dignity is protected.
Article 10 of the law stipulates that the state protects children from treatment that degrades human dignity.
