Rare manuscripts and coins from the Abbasid era discovered in Namangan
The fund of finds of the "Yangi Axsi" complex, part of the Axsikent archaeological park, has been enriched with 68 new coins and 27 books.
According to the Namangan regional administration, the finds include silver coins from the 8th century during the Abbasid period and a unique manuscript written in Arabic script. The manuscript contains information on calligraphy, mathematics, astronomy, and medicine.
Coins minted in Sweden in 1667-1670, and Great Britain in 1836, were also added to the fund.
Currently, the Akhsikent Complex Expedition is continuing excavations at Yakkayigit Park, the residence of Umarshaykh Mirzo.
