President of Uzbekistan receives Russian Defense Minister

Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov. The two countries signed a strategic partnership program in the military sphere for 2026-2030.

Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev received visiting Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov on January 22, the presidential press service reported.

It is noted that the meeting considered issues of further developing and strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Russia.

The importance of expanding cooperation between the Ministries of Defense of the two countries was noted.

Earlier, a cooperation plan for 2025 and a strategic partnership program in the military sphere between the two countries for 2026-2030 were signed in Tashkent between the Ministries of Defense of Uzbekistan and Russia.
