President Mirziyoyev expressed condolences to the Chinese leader

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has sent a letter of condolences to President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping in connection with the powerful earthquake that struck the Tibet region, the press service of the head of state reported.

The disaster occurred on January 7, 2025, in Dingji County, Shigatse City, when a 7.1-magnitude earthquake struck. The earthquake killed about a hundred people and injured many civilians to varying degrees.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed his condolences to the families and loved ones of the deceased and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
