Moscow is ready to pay compensation. Putin "dismounted" in front of Aliyev

A meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev took place at the Kohi Somon residence in Dushanbe. One of the topics of discussion was the situation with the Azerbaijani airliner that crashed near Aktau in December last year.

Putin said that the two missiles fired by the Russians did not hit the airliner directly, but exploded a few meters away. The Azar plane may have been damaged by fragments of the missiles. The Russian leader also suggested that a Ukrainian drone that appeared at the time was also to blame for the crash.

According to the Russian President, before the crash, the crew of the plane flying from Baku to Grozny was offered to land in Makhachkala, but they decided to continue the flight to their destination.

"We will give a legal assessment of the actions of all officials and take the necessary measures to compensate for such tragic circumstances," Putin said.
