Mirziyoyev expresses condolences to Putin over death of Russian general

In a telephone conversation, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed his condolences to Russian President Vladimir Putin over the assassination attempt on a Russian general and strongly condemned the terrorist attack.

Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Kremlin press service reported.

It is noted that the presidents agreed to continue close cooperation between the special services of Russia and Uzbekistan in the fight against terrorism.

Mirziyoyev also expressed condolences on the death of Igor Kirillov, head of the chemical defense troops of the Russian Armed Forces.

Mirziyoyev strongly condemned the terrorist attack that killed General Kirillov, the Kremlin reports.

According to TASS, the FSB and Uzbek special services are currently taking measures to identify accomplices in the murder of General Kirillov.

Uzbek special services are providing comprehensive assistance to the investigation.
