Mirziyoyev and Putin met in Moscow

Yesterday, May 9, a meeting between Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Russian President Vladimir Putin took place as part of events in Moscow.

Mirziyoyev and Putin began their conversation by congratulating each other on the 80th anniversary of the Victory.

According to the presidential press service, the meeting discussed issues of further strengthening Uzbek-Russian allied relations and implementing the agreements reached during Putin's visit to Uzbekistan last year.

It was emphasized that it is important to adopt coordinated measures aimed at maintaining the momentum of trade, economic and investment cooperation.

It is noted with great satisfaction that humanitarian exchanges are particularly effective, primarily in the fields of culture, art, science, and education.
