Kyrgyzstan's president dismisses prime minister
Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov on Monday dismissed the head of the Cabinet of Ministers and head of the administration, Akilbek Japarov, from his post "due to his transfer to another job" and assigned the duties of head of government to First Deputy Prime Minister Adilbek Kasimaliev, the press service of the Kyrgyz president reported.
Kasimaliev's candidacy was submitted to the republican parliament for approval.
According to Kyrgyz media, Akilbek Japarov has submitted a voluntary resignation. He has been heading the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan since October 2021.
The Kyrgyz presidential administration announced that Akilbek Japarov had been relieved of his post due to his transfer to another job.
"He will remain close to the head of state as his closest ally and continue his selfless service for the welfare of our people," said Kyrgyz Deputy Prime Minister Edil Baisalov.
