Kazakhstan bans Russian MPs from entering the country

On April 27 of this year, Andrei Grozin, an employee of the Russian Institute for the CIS Countries and a historian, was denied entry into Kazakhstan upon his arrival in Astana.

Although he received an official invitation to participate in several events in late April, it was announced that he was on a list of persons banned from entering Kazakhstan.

Previously, Grozin, who calls himself a historian, said that he had damaged the reputation of President Tokayev and claimed that "Nazis" (nationalists) who allegedly favored the "Turkestan Legion" had come to power.

According to the source, there is a list of people banned from entering Kazakhstan, but this list is closed and its full composition is unknown. Previously, Vladimir Zhirinovsky was conditionally at the top of this list.

Nowadays, Tina Kandelaki, Tigran Keosanyan, Alexander Dugin, Nikita Mendkovich,

State Duma deputies Evgeny Fedorov, Vyacheslav Nikonov, and Petr Tolstoy, as well as Konstantin Zatulin, were also banned from entering Kazakhstan.
