It was proposed to legalize calling to Islam in Kyrgyzstan
Kyrgyz MP Jaloliddin Nurboev asked for legal permission to go door-to-door calling people to Islam.
He spoke about this during the discussion of the draft law "On Freedom of Religious Beliefs and Religious Associations" in the parliament.
"The caller does not even enter the house. He just knocks on the door, invites you to the mosque and calls only to good. There's nothing wrong with that. If we ban this, can you imagine what our children will be like in 10-15 years?" says Jalaluddin Nurboev.
People's deputy also added that the call to Islam can help in the fight against corruption.
"We see that it is not possible to put an end to bribery by imprisonment and intimidation," he said.
Recently, Kyrgyz politicians have praised Muslims and their activities to ensure freedom of religion. Earlier, a prayer hall was opened in the building of the state security service in Kyrgyzstan.
