Leaking of hydrogen sulfide (sulfur gas) from the "25th Anniversary of Independence" gas field in Boisun has started again. It is said that 4 people died (in official sources - 2 people), there are also injured.

Another hydrogen sulfide leak occurred in the afternoon of September 17 at the 25th Anniversary of Independence (M-25) gas field in Boysun District, Surkhandarya Region.

On September 18, at a press conference held in AOKA, the head of the Department of Supervision over the Law Enforcement in the Field of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Forestry of the General Prosecutor's Office Oktam Otaev announced that 2 people died as a result of the situation.

"Actually, the regional prosecutor himself went to the scene of the unpleasant situation you mentioned yesterday, about the death of 2 people. At present, the investigation is being carried out," said the representative of the prosecutor's office . He added that in addition to the dead, there are also injured citizens.

"There was a death situation. There is a case that two people died. There are also cases of injuries. Investigations are currently being carried out pending an investigation. You will be informed about the results," said the employee of the General Prosecutor's Office.

According to Gazeta.uz, citing local sources, at least 4 people died and others were injured as a result of the incident.

Let's remind that on September 1, sulfur (hydrogen sulfide) gas began to leak out as a result of a technological process violation during the drilling works in the well No. 604 belonging to the "25th Anniversary of Independence" mine located in Kolkamish neighborhood of Boysun district of Surkhandarya.

On the night of September 2, the FVV reported that residents near the well were evacuated, the situation was fully under control, and there was no reason to panic. Based on the President's order, a group of officials, in particular, Deputy Prime Minister Ochilboy Ramatov, arrived at the scene.
