Islamic Development Bank allocates $40 million for Uzbekistan's education system

A $40 million grant agreement was signed between the Ministry of Preschool and School Education of Uzbekistan and the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) as part of the Human Capability Initiative 2025 international forum being held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Minister Hilola Umarova announced.


This project aims to build 58 new inclusive schools across the republic, equip schools with modern equipment, improve teacher training, develop inclusive education, and improve curricula .


The forum also saw the signing of another grant agreement with the support of the Global Partnership for Education (GPE). Under it, IDB President Muhammad al-Jassar expressed his readiness to support Uzbekistan as a reliable partner in creating quality educational opportunities for the next generation.


It should be noted that Uzbekistan was the only Central Asian country to participate in this forum. The large-scale event is discussing global problems in the fields of education, economics, and technology, as well as ways to solve them.
